The challenge

  • Make most efficient use of budget due to excessive ground works as the site was sloping.
  • Construct a highly insulated dwelling.
  • Increasing cavity width for more insulation.

  • Construct an A-rated dwelling
  • Use of HRV (heat recovery)
  • Instillation of Air to Water heat pump for heating and domestic hot water
  • Full fill cavity insulation and insulated slab on all external walls.
  • Use of air tight membranes for air tightness.
  • Make efficient use of budget .
